Just an appropriate option for a short stay in Fakenham with exceptional value. The room was basic but clean, which served our needs. Check if the bar is open, as it might be closed when you want to grab a bite.

I booked a Double Room, pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and size. The room felt warm and had all necessary equipment. Staff members were polite and helpful. They allowed independent access, which was great since I brought my dog. The breakfast was decent, with eggs cooked to order. I faced a couple of minor issues at breakfast, like having to ask for plates and cups, but the staff quickly resolved it. Despite these positives, the experience was marred by noise. On another visit, staying in a Family Room, loud music from the pub made it impossible to sleep. There was a discotheque that lasted past 1 am, and the hotel didn’t respond to my messages about it. Wifi was also a big letdown. none of the networks provided reliable access. The overall atmosphere felt focused more on the pub side than on the accommodations. In another stay, in a Standard Double Room, I noticed noise from the bar and a leak over our dining table, which felt dangerous. Although it had a good location close to a concert, these issues were frustrating.

Noise from the live band on Saturday night disrupted sleep. ear plugs provided didn't do the trick. Breakfast experience had minor hiccups, as plates and cups ran out, though quickly resolved. Pricing seemed a bit steep compared to other places with similar offerings.
